As Chief Security Scientist, Mr. Fabro complements the other members of SecureEDEN Inc. with his extensive knowledge and experience in network security. With his particular skills in security architectures and intrusion modeling, Mr. Fabro will work closely with Mr. Dickenson to oversee all aspects of security as it relates to the design of the EDEN network and the delivery of the security service.
Mr. Fabro is, currently, also the President and Chief Scientist of Terrasec Corporation, where his focus lies in the security architectures of Financial, Government, and Security Provider Networks. At Terrasec Corporation, his responsibilities include the determination of Information Security postures through attack methodologies that incorporate both current and unreleased weaknesses, as well as non-tradition methods for Information Systems compromise. Mr. Fabro successfully fulfills these tasks with emphasis on the usage of intrusion modeling for the determination of system vulnerabilities and correction. As well as being on the Board of Directors of SecureEDEN Inc., Mr. Fabro also sits on the Board of Director of several other Security-focused corporations. He has an honors degree in Experimental Physics, and his affiliations include CISSP, CSI, ISSA, as well as the High Technology Crime Investigation Association. Along with the promotion of educational programs in ethical computer usage, his personal interests lie in secure extranet deployment, the secure transfer mechanisms for digital media, and efficiency of information security programs in Fortune 1000 companies.
Mr. Fabro has a formidable background in Information Security with more than 15 years dedicated to research and tactical evaluation of networks, telecommunications, and user psychology. Prior to SecureEDEN Inc. and Terrasec, Mr. Fabro was Senior Scientist with Guardent, as well as Worldwide Director of Assessment Services for Secure Computing. Within the public arena, Mr. Fabro has been an active member in the Underground, part-time faculty at UCLA, and has contributed to dozens of articles for CIO Magazine, PC Week, The Economist, Fortune, and Forbes. Most recently he has been involved in the strategic deployment of organization-wide PDD-63 and C-6 compliant solutions, is a recognized expert in network attack mechanisms for several government agencies, and is the creator of the MOSES Project. As well as being a co-founder of the CISO Working Group, Mr. Fabro's projects included working with both the U.S. and Canadian Department of Defence, and working with Intel's Platform Security Division with regards to hardware based security. He has briefed more than 100 government agencies worldwide, including CSIS, NSA, Department of State, Treasury, and the Pentagon.
