Field Trials Trials are conducted on a wide range of products, services and environmental issues. All these trials require data of some sort to be collected, collated and analysed. Many technologies in use today are not fully integrated. This means data is often entered into many direct systems to achieve the end result. This is time consuming and can lead to errors. AKAS allows the people conducting the field trials to rapidly create the data gathering and analysis solution and deploy it across the Internet. The AKAS forms are displayed through a web-browser, which could be on a PDA or laptop linked to the Internet via wireless connections. Upon entering data via the forms the data is transmitted into a central database for analysis. Communications with field operators can be maintained using the AKAS messaging system.
